Lakes PHC is a residential service company occasionally doing light commercial work. We’re in the business of helping people, but we offer a schedule that gives you plenty of time with your family, because we can all agree family is the most important thing we have.

The essential function of the HVAC Technician is to serve the customers of Lakes PHC by providing residential system repair and maintenance.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck for maximum efficiency.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Attend company or vendor training as required.
  • Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles

Spray Foam Lead Technician

Residential & Commercial
Location: Spirit Lake, Iowa/Sioux Falls, SD
Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $30/hr –  $35/hr

Join Our Team as a Spray Foam Lead Technician
We are seeking a Skilled Spray Foam Technician with leadership experience to head the Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF)Division. In this role, you will lead spray foam installation projects in residential and commercial settings, manage a team of insulation technicians, and ensure safe, high-quality application of SPF.

Spray Foam Application & Equipment Operation

  • Install open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation in homes and commercial buildings.
  • Operate and maintain spray foam rigs and equipment with a focus on efficiency and safety.
  • Conduct site assessments to prepare for installation, including masking, taping, and area protection.

Project Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a team of SPF installers to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Monitor job progress and quality control to meet or exceed company standards.

Customer Interaction & Quality Assurance

  • Communicate with clients before, during, and after installations to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre-job inspections and post-installation walk-throughs to address any concerns.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete daily work logs, time sheets, and service reports.
  • Coordinate with office and operations staff to ensure smooth scheduling and job execution.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of spray foam insulation experience (closed-cell and open-cell), poly concrete jacking, and poly roofing.
  • Leadership or crew lead experience in a construction or insulation setting preferred.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of spray foam systems, building science, and thermal insulation principles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and work independently.
  •  

Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
  • Spray Foam Certification (SPFA or equivalent) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and various weather conditions.
